Because of these circumstances, we must perform more competitively than ever before. Community support is directly measured by community involvement and participation.

This Economic Development office has the most extensive business and industry contact database in the county. As well as contact information for all levels of local government officials and organizations. We can create and provide our members a listing based on their specific needs.

Advocate for Business

The Economic Development office is your advocate within local government. We are here to help you with day to day challenges related to workforce, local policy and tax incentives. If a problem arises, we are here to assist in sourcing the help you need and advocate on your behalf.

Local office for Industrial Real Estate and new Industry Development

This office should be your first stop for industrial land and development. We work with you in every aspect of the procurement process putting local, regional and state resources at work for you. Our thorough knowledge of the area enables new and expanding businesses to navigate the development phase.

Workforce Development

Workforce development is a major focus area of this office. We help to train and remedy your workforce needs. We do this by pulling together our local training centers, government, school district and community organizations to create programs that can specifically address your challenge.

Communications

Part of our role in economic development is working hard to keep our partners well informed through our preferred vendor directory and direct business referrals. We are continually working to maintain contact through informational meetings as well as networking events. Keeping our investors in the loop with press releases, newsletters and email notices makes their investment count. We remain dedicated to improving the efficiency, quality and frequency of these services.

Networking Events

Annual, mid-year and quarterly events and meetings give members various opportunities to come together and mix with other business, industry and government leaders in Marlboro County.

Targeted Quarterly Luncheons

Quarterly luncheons are held at the partnership office to bring our business and industries up to date on programs that will directly affect them. It is also a fantastic opportunity to do some exclusive business networking with our local captains of industry.

Internet On-line Presence

We have recently redesigned our website and have packed it with a lot of information on Marlboro County. Membership includes a free hyperlink, listing, email link and calendar of events. This online directory is frequently referenced by Marlboro County industries, businesses, members and residents.

Partner-Only Sponsorships

Sponsors will receive event publicity and recognition. Opportunities include heavy signage at our annual events, Industry Appreciation Day and the Industrial Council’s Spring Mixer, allocated sponsorship page on our website with hyperlink to your website, listing in our newsletter that is published every other month. We have detailed sponsorship packages for every budget to provide you exposure to our community.

Ribbon Cuttings

The promotion of receptions for new and expanding members celebrating grand openings, relocations, expansions, and anniversaries. Contact the office to schedule your event.

Committee Participation

As a member you are invited to serve on various committees designed to enhance member/partner services, improve the quality of life for the community at large and specifically address the ever changing needs of our local businesses and industries.
