Public Safety
The county is under the jurisdiction of a sheriff and deputies. Fire service is provided by volunteer fire departments throughout the county.
Bennettsville, Clio and McColl each have independent, trained police forces. A communications system ties in all law enforcement agencies in the county and towns. This enhanced 911 system serves in all emergency situations.
